Port 9100 is used for printing over TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) networks. It is a standard port that is supported by most network printers. When a user sends a print job to a printer, the data is sent over port 9100 to the printer’s IP address. The printer then receives the data and prints the document. This allows multiple users to print to a single printer over a network.
