Port 80

Port 80 is used for HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) communication. It is the default port for web servers to serve webpages over the internet. When a user enters a website’s URL in their browser, the request is sent through port 80 to the web server. The server then responds by sending the requested webpage over the same port to the user’s browser.

Ports those registered with IANA are shown as official ports. The same port number may be unofficialy used by various services or applications. The official usage are listed separately below its usage may change from time to time.
