Port 6502 is commonly used for the communication between a microprocessor and a specialized memory chip called the 6502 memory. It is mostly associated with the MOS Technology 6502 microprocessor, which was widely used in computers and gaming consoles of the 1980s. However, nowadays, this port is rarely used in modern technology.
