Port 5985 is used for Windows Remote Management, which is a protocol used by the Windows operating system to remotely manage another computer. It allows administrators to remotely execute commands, access system information, and manage software installations without having to physically be in front of the computer. It is commonly used for remote PowerShell access as well as remote desktop administration.
