Port 5353 is used for Multicast DNS (mDNS) service discovery on a local network. mDNS is used to discover and connect to devices such as printers, scanners, and other networked devices on the same local network. It is commonly used in Apple’s Bonjour protocol and is also supported by other devices and operating systems.
