Port 47

Port 47 is used for the Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) protocol, which is a tunneling protocol used to encapsulate a wide variety of network layer protocols inside virtual point-to-point links. This allows for the creation of virtual private networks (VPNs) and can be used to connect remote offices or to provide secure remote access for individual users.
