Port 2525 is commonly used as an alternative SMTP port. SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, which is used for sending email messages over the internet. Port 25 is the default SMTP port, but some internet service providers (ISPs) block it to prevent spamming. As a result, some email servers use port 2525 as an alternative, allowing users to send email messages without being blocked by their ISPs.
