Port 1978

Port 1978 is commonly used for the Protocol for Carrying Authentication for Network Access (PANA), which allows a device to connect to a network and authenticate itself. It is also used for the transport of data on the Digital Video Broadcasting-Return Channel Satellite Standard (DVB-RCS).
